There’s a great deal of discussion in the media these days about “disengaged leaders”. It’s also very often the talk around the lunch table – whether it be world issues, company issues, a particular crisis, jobs, or the economy in general, the comments generally come back to something like this:
“Why doesn’t the leader do something?”
This statement indicates there is a disengaged leader somewhere in the mix.
While you may not be able to change the world, you can certainly change your corner of it by being an engaged leader in the arena of your leadership scope. And if enough of us do that, it could very well change the world.
Think of your leadership roles and note the traits below that describe you in those roles.

Are you engaged? Or are you disengaged?
The fact is, every single leader is needed…to lead. If you’re a leader of any area – from a company to a family – those who follow you need you to be fully engaged.
